Adsorber VV-RV
The GIEBEL adsorbers of the series VV-RV have a stable valve part made of glass fibre reinforced polyamide and are designed with a refillable adsorber cartridge. Therefore this adsorber has a long maintenance interval and favourable maintenance costs.
With the valve part, these adsorbers are optimally suited for extreme, dusty ambient conditions. They are used, for example, on hydraulic units, gearboxes or storage tanks. Due to the large valve cross-sections, the pressure build-up is minimal even with high air flows. In addition, this series contains an activated carbon layer and a spill protection to separate escaping oil mist. This ensures cyclical self-regeneration and thus very long maintenance intervals.

METHOD OF OPERATION
Technical Data
The sucked in air opens the valves in the lower part of the adsorber already at approx. 5 mbar. After flowing into the adsorber, the air is distributed evenly over the cross-section. The pre-filter disc removes coarse dirt particles from the air already at this point.
When the desiccant silica gel flows through, the water molecules are reliably removed from the air. The gap volume of the granulate is optimally selected with 2 to 5mm grains. This guarantees a minimum pressure build-up and at the same time very good drying efficiency. Thus, at the beginning of the drying process, a residual air humidity of max. 2 % rH and a dew point of -40 °C is achieved. Due to the water absorption, the silica gel in the standard version turns from orange to green, indicating the end of the product life cycle. At the end a 3 µm filter ensures that all dirt particles are separated from the ambient air and the silica gel and that the connected system is not contaminated.
With the outflowing air the GIEBEL specific two-stage spill protection prevents larger oil droplets from penetrating into the desiccant. This is supplemented by the activated carbon, which adsorbs the finest oil particles and thus enables the adsorber to regenerate itself.
These adsorbers consist of polycarbonate, polyamide, aluminium, silica gel orange, FKM and can be used for the aeration of all common hydraulic and gear oils and lubricants, fuels, isocyanates. The GIEBEL team is at your disposal for the clarification of resistances.
