Adsorber TM-RV
The high quality adsorber TM-RV is completely made of A4 stainless steel. With a separate valve part the maintenance interval is considerably extended. With up to 5.0 kg desiccant, even large transformers in offshore use can be efficiently ventilated.
The use according to ATEX product directive 2014/34/EU in zone II 2 G / D IIC T4 is possible as well as according to the corrosiveness category C5-M. On transformers, the valves protect the desiccant as well as the oils and lubricants from contamination and damage caused by water during swell and rain.
The adsorbers TM-RV are available with all standard connections for transformers. Due to the optimized design, these adsorbers can be maintained very quickly and cost-effectively. The wearing parts or the pure desiccant are quickly inserted and the protection of the plant to be ventilated is restored.

METHOD OF OPERATION
TECHNICAL DATA
The sucked in air opens the valves in the lower part of the adsorber already at approx. 5 mbar. After flowing into the adsorber, the air is distributed evenly over the cross-section. The pre-filter disc removes coarse dirt particles from the air already at this point.
When the desiccant silica gel is passed through, the water molecules are safely removed from the air. The gap volume of the granulate is optimally selected with 2 to 5mm grains. This guarantees a minimum pressure build-up and at the same time very good drying efficiency. Thus, at the beginning of the drying process, a residual air humidity of max. 2 % rH and a dew point of -40 °C is achieved. Due to water absorption, the silica gel in the standard version changes its color from orange to green, indicating the end of the product life cycle. At the end, a 3 µm filter pad ensures that all dirt particles are separated from the ambient air and the silica gel and that the connected transformer is not contaminated.
In the outflowing air, the activated carbon prevents contamination of the silica gel and thus the blocking of the water-absorbing pores, which enables the adsorber to regenerate itself.
These adsorbers are made of stainless steel 316, silica gel orange, FKM and can be used for the ventilation of all transformers by means of all DIN connections. The GIEBEL team is at your disposal for the clarification of resistances.
