Adsorber TB-RV
The GIEBEL adsorbers of the TB-RV series are used for the ventilation of transformers. They have a stable valve part made of glass fibre reinforced polyamide and are equipped with a refillable adsorber cartridge. Therefore this adsorber has a long maintenance interval and low maintenance costs.
With the valve part, these adsorbers are optimally suited for extreme, dusty ambient conditions. This hanging version is available with all standard connections for transformers. Due to the large valve cross-sections, the pressure build-up is minimal even with high air flows. In addition, this series contains an activated carbon layer to separate escaping oil mist. This ensures cyclical self-regeneration and thus very long maintenance intervals.

TECHNICAL DATA
The sucked in air opens the valves in the lower part of the adsorber already at approx. 5 mbar. After flowing into the adsorber, the air is distributed evenly over the cross-section. The pre-filter disc removes coarse dirt particles from the air already at this point.
When the desiccant silica gel flows through the adsorber, the water molecules are safely removed from the air. The gap volume of the granulate is optimally selected with 2 to 5mm grains. This guarantees a minimum pressure build-up and at the same time very good drying efficiency. Thus, at the beginning of the drying process, a residual air humidity of max. 2 % rH and a dew point of -40 °C is achieved. Due to water absorption, the silica gel in the standard version changes its color from orange to green, indicating the end of the product life cycle. At the end, a 3 µm filter pad ensures that all dirt particles are separated from the ambient air and the silica gel and that the connected transformer is not contaminated.
In the outflowing air, the activated carbon prevents contamination of the silica gel and thus the blocking of the water-absorbing pores, which enables the adsorber to regenerate itself.
These adsorbers are made of aluminum, polycarbonate, polyamide, silica gel orange, FKM and can be used for the ventilation of all transformers by means of all DIN connections. The GIEBEL team is at your disposal for the clarification of resistances.
