Adsorber MA-R
The all-aluminium MA-R series are robust adsorbers. Due to their high resistance, available with FKM or EPDM seals, they are used on numerous plants and vessels. For example, 200l drums and 1000l IBCs are equipped with these adsorbers. Regardless of whether isocyanates, polyols, DOT4, SKYDROL, solvents or oils are to be protected, these adsorbers adsorb the entire air humidity.
The refillability makes the investment worthwhile after a very short time, as desiccants and the wearing parts can be changed very quickly and cheaply. The use according to ATEX product directive 2014/34/EU in zone II 2 G / D IIC T4 is also possible. The saturation of the desiccant is checked in the viewing window to detect the status of the adsorber.

METHOD OF OPERATION
Technical Data
The sucked-in air flows into the adsorber almost without pressure. After flowing into the adsorber, the air is distributed evenly over the cross-section. The pre-filter disc removes coarse dirt particles from the air already at this stage.
When the desiccant silica gel flows through, the water molecules are reliably removed from the air. The gap volume of the granulate is optimally selected with 2 to 5mm grains. This guarantees a minimum pressure build-up and at the same time very good drying efficiency. Thus, at the beginning of the drying process a residual air humidity of max. 2 % rH and a dew point of -40 °C is achieved. Due to the water absorption, the silica gel in the standard version turns from orange to green, indicating the end of the product life cycle. At the end a 3 µm filter ensures that all dirt particles are separated from the ambient air and the silica gel and that the connected system is not contaminated.
With the outflowing air the GIEBEL specific two-stage spill protection prevents larger oil droplets from penetrating into the desiccant. This is supplemented by the activated carbon, which adsorbs the finest oil particles and thus enables the adsorber to regenerate itself.
These adsorbers are made of aluminium, Silicagel Orange, FKM or EPDM and can be used for the aeration of all common hydraulic and gear oils and lubricants, fuels, isocyanates. In addition, this series can be used to ventilate e.g. SKYDROL, brake fluids and solvents. The GIEBEL team is gladly at your disposal for clarification of resistances.
