Desiccant

In order to achieve optimum drying of the supply air, the correct drying agent should be used. For use in a ventilation dryer the adsorbent silica gel orange has proven itself.

This desiccant has a high water uptake capacity, an optical color indicator and a good regeneration behavior. Moreover, it is safe and can be used any number of time.



Filtering

GIEBEL Adsorber® not only dry the supply air, but also filter the air before it flows into the system.

Thus, in each adsorber a 3µm filter element is integrated.



Valves

Valves in the adsorber protect the desiccant against unnecessary load and prevent that this is not unnecessarily loaded during possible downtime. The use of adsorbents without valves, only with openings allows the desiccant to actively engage the ambient humidity. The result is a useless, loaded adsorber without significant period of use.

Air flow

The air flow rate is an important criterion for the efficiency of an adsorber. If the air flow for the adsorber used too large, the drying capacity is limited and the service life is reduced significantly.

It is always important to look for the right balance between airflow and adsorber size.

Oil separation

The exhausting fumes out of a plant may adversely affect the efficiency of an adsorber. For example, oil aerosols thus have a larger diameter than water molecules and "clog" the pores of the silica gel.

The result is impregnated desiccant, which absorbs no water and the color does not change.

Desiccant must be protected from such influences, otherwise the application may not make much sense.

Selfregeneration

To get the longest possible service life of the desiccant in a ventilation dryer, GIEBEL Adsorber® use the ability to regenerate the contained desiccant partially while operating. By the special design of the adsorber bound water is released and removed through the exhaust air from the system.

Result

Incoming moisture remains at a very low level and the change in color of the silica gel is significantly delayed.

Hygroscopic Disc

GIEBEL Adsorber® are setting standards again! With the integration of a specially impregnated, highly hygroscopic disc, the useful life of an adsorber is considerably prolonged. This new method combines substances with a high water absorption capacity and good regeneration ability and the proven properties of silica gel or molecular sieve.

Result

The incoming moist air is dried. In addition, the adsorber can be better regenerated by the exhausting air.
